Vijay Prashad (né le 14 août 1967) est un historien, journaliste, commentateur et intellectuel marxiste indien. Il est directeur exécutif de The Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research et le rédacteur en chef de LeftWord Books.
Vie précoce[modifier | modifier le wikicode]
Prashad avait dix ans lorsque le Front de gauche a remporté les élections dans son État natal du Bengale occidental. En 1981, il a acheté son premier exemplaire de Capital et l'a lu en même temps que Dix jours qui ébranlèrent le monde de John Reed et les écrits de Karl Marx sur la Commune de Paris.[1]
